Tibetan monks debating all aspects of their Buddhists beliefs in the afternoon light in the courtyard of sacred Sera Monastery. The thick fog of the cold morning in Lumbini, Nepal (birthplace of the Buddha) as the barely visible white marble World Peace Pagoda slowly comes in to view with the orb of the sun trying to burn its way through. The standing sadhu who has walked on foot across borders to Pashupatinath temple for the holy Shivaratri festival and has taken a solemn vow to remaining vertical for twelve years for his God Shiva.
The “Our Paths to Enlightenment” collection comprises images taken from various trips to and throughout Asia beginning in 2000. Embracing the faith and spirituality of the dominant religions of Hinduism and Buddhism that prevail in the regions, the images are meant to invoke introspection and meditation and honor the journey each individual takes to find their own happiness and enlightenment.
